IPF has been asked to help supervise and invite Parkour athletes to take part in a YALE University Survey. This survey addresses athletes’ understanding of their own rights, because recognition of rights, and rights violations, is a central part of safeguarding of human beings, in general, and athlete safety in sport. The lab’s survey was recently translated into four additional languages so can be taken in: English,French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese (simplified). When opened, the survey will now automatically mirror the most frequently used language of the respondent’s web browser, and it will also give the option of manually selecting the display language.
If you could kindly circulate to other athletes and contacts, who can share through their social media platforms, that would be great. A link to the survey and a stock social media post are below. Parkour may not be listed as a specific sport, but there is an option of filling in the sport manually and it will be very helpful to all of us going forward. Thank you!
