IPF Secretary General David Richard Thompson and IPF President Victor Bevine were met in Istanbul by IPF Deputy Secretary General and AFPU (Asia Freerunning Parkour Union) President Mehdi Salman Pour – Arash where the three held several days of meetings including strategy and development sessions with officers of other IPF national governing bodies. 

“We mourn with the people of Turkey for the tragic loss of life,” said Victor Bevine. 

David Richard Thompson added, “We felt like we needed to be here to support in some way. There was no question that we were going to come here to honor the people of Turkey.”

“We all agreed,” Mehdi Arash Salmanpour, a Turkish resident added, “that it would be inappropriate to hold a congress at this time.”
