Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour Appointed as Secretary General of the International Parkour Federation IPF

The International Parkour Federation (IPF) is proud to announce the official appointment of Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour as the new Secretary General of the IPF, effective April 16, 2025. Dr Salman Pour will be taking over these duties following the tragic death of founding Secretary General David Thompson, with whom Dr Salman Pour worked closely for many years as Deputy Secretary General and in whose spirit IPF will continue to be led.

This important decision was made by Mr. Victor Bevine, President of the IPF and the board members, recognizing Mr. Salman Pour’s outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Parkour and Freerunning globally. Currently serving as the President of the Asia Freerunning Parkour Union (AFPU), Dr. Salman Pour has been a driving force in expanding the sport across Asia and building strong international connections.

With decades of leadership experience and a deep commitment to the Parkour community, Mr. Salman Pour will play a key role in shaping the future of the IPF and supporting its mission to unify and elevate the Parkour movement worldwide.

His term as Secretary General will span four years, during which he will work closely with IPF President, leadership and member organizations to enhance opportunities, development programs, and international collaborations.
