Mr. Mehdi Salman Pour, known as “Arash” Salmanpour, President of Asia Freerunning Parkour Union (AFPU), has recently been named the Deputy Secretary General of IPF- Internaional Parkour Federation. He will be working very closely with IPF Secretary General, David Thompson as well as with IPF President, Victor Bevine. Mr Salmanpour’s wealth of years of international experience, both as a professional athlete and as a sports organization and business professional makes him a very valuable asset to the IPF team. Mr Salmanpour currently holds numerous official positions on both international organizations as well as sports federations and confederations including AFPU, IPTC (International Professional Training Certifications), AXF (Asian Extreme Sports Federation), FIRS (Federation International Roller Sport) known as “World Skate”, FIF (Futins International Federation), FIFS (Federation International Football Skating), ACE (A Canadian non-profit), and WDA (World Dodgeball Association).
As President and Founder of AFPU (Asia Freerunning Parkour Union), Mr Mehdi promotes Parkour/Freerunning in Asia with the aim of developing this sport in Universities/Schools/Kindergartens/Sports Clubs/Sport-Governing Bodies, as well as advancing coaches certifications through IPF. Mr. Salmanpour’s AFPU in cooperation with IPF and IPTC held the first WFPF (World Freerunning Parkour Federation) professional instructor teaching certification in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017. Athletes attended from Iran, India, Turkey, and Tajikistan. IPTC and IPF continue to hold and promote the WFPF certification around the world in countries such as the USA, Canada, Ireland, Wales, UK, Scotland, Portugal, with upcoming certifications scheduled for Australia, Costa Rica, Morocco, Mexico, USA, and Canada (all currently on temporary hold as of May 9, 2020 due to global events.)
In 2013 Mr. Salmanpour was elected to the position of Vice President of the Asian Extreme Sports Federation. [AXF] In 2008 he was elected as the United Arab Emirates UAE representative in Federation International Roller Sports FIRS [World Skate]. In 2005 he founded the International Professional Training Certification (IPTC) which for over 15 years has provided professional and academic training with valid certificates throughout the globe for more than 10000 people. In 2015 Mr. Salmanpour was elected as the president of the Futins International Federation [FIF] which is headquartered in Brazil. In April 2017, and during the FIFS’ Extraordinary congress, Mr. Arash Salmanpour was elected as the President of the Federation International Football Skating [FIFS].
On 2018 he invited to join in Board of Directors of the [ACE] non- profit Community Centers in Vancouver Canada. In 2019 Arash Salmanpour was appointed as Director of the World Dodgeball Association’ National Federations Department [WDA]
